A500 ACTIVATED CARBON

With our system A500, we want to create the best tech­nical condi­tions to enable you to produce activated carbon & activated biochar in accordance with European envi­ron­mental stan­dards and from regio­nally rene­wable raw mate­rials or regional biomass resi­dues. We are curr­ently testing at two large-scale plants how activated carbon can be opti­mally produced in an energy-effi­cient, single-stage and envi­ron­ment­ally friendly produc­tion process. With gentle steam activa­tion, we want to ensure the largest possible surface area, with fully auto­matic opera­tion for maximum effi­ci­ency. In tech­nical preli­mi­nary studies at our labo­ra­tory plant PYREKA we could already gene­rate surfaces of more than 800 m2 /g (square meters per gram) under these condi­tions.
